The West Sussex Affordable Energy Partnership provides a forum where the West Sussex Local Authorities, West Sussex County Council, Installers, Community and Health partners can work together to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach to promoting affordable energy for the most vulnerable in West Sussex.
The partnership which is facilitated by the West Sussex Fuel Poverty Coordinator meet regularly. We set and work towards the aims and objectives of the Fuel Poverty a framework for action across West Sussex .
The West Sussex Affordable Energy Partnership are updating the ‘West Sussex Fuel Poverty Framework for Action’ and plan to release this in 2021.
We are currently partnering with the Citizen’s Advice Arun and Chichester to deliver the ‘Tackling Fuel Poverty Together’ project, a coordinated home energy support service across Sussex. The scheme is funded by the Energy Saving Trust Energy Redress Scheme and delivers a West Sussex wide home energy advice telephone for West Sussex residents and provides training for front line staff and volunteers.
